The girls are enjoying the fall weather. They like to play with the leaves at the park even though the weather has been so cold.

We went to Bordeaux beginning of November since Juliette was out of school for the Toussaint holiday. It was a very nice, long break.

We are leaving to go to Naples, Italy this Saturday for Ken's birthday. Why Italy again? Italy is very beautiful and has so many things to see. We're hoping to make it to the airport since there will be a strike starting this Tuesday evening and it looks like this strike will go on until the 2oth. Yes, it's annoying when there is a strike in France. No one can go anywhere since public transportation is not available and if you want to drive, people are stuck in traffic for hours. So, we're hoping that the strike will end before Saturday or we'll have to spend the night at a hotel near the airport!!

The girls love to finger paint. It's really, really messy but they need to explore.

Juliette was so happy when I fetched her from school. Why? Her teacher gave her bonbons (candies). Not sure if I like that since she doesn't get candies at home (only certain occasions).

Here is Juliette getting ready for school. She always asked to wear a dress or skirt and of course, her boots. This is a typical style for a french girl.

Juliette is trying out a bike that someone gave us. I think that we will have to buy her a new one as this one is not sturdy.

Since Juliette was out of school for the Toussaint holiday, we decided to drive down to Bordeaux for a long weekend. The girls were very good during the drive.

Juliette's Paintings at School

Juliette attends school four days a week and she finally had her first school break. It was from October 29-November 7. It's for the Toussaint holiday, more like fall break.

Her teacher gave us a notebook with her schoolwork for the quarter. We were surprised how much work she has done at school! Here are some of Juliette's paintings.

October 2007

October flew by for us. We can't believe that we will be coming home soon. Here are pictures of the girls having a great time for Halloween.

We went to a Halloween party and kids enjoyed the different games.

We had kids over for Halloween to make trick or treat bags and ghosts out of lollipop. The kids even went trick or treating, too.

Juliette came home from school. She's dressed all in pink.

Had to take pictures of us eating dessert and as you can see in the picture, the waiter served our desserts with a spoon and fork. Why do we need a fork? We asked the waiter and he said, "to make the table complete." Ah, only in France.

Ken and I were able to go out on a date so we went to our favorite local restaurant. Yummy, escargots!

Juliette chose a clown outfit for Halloween so she decided to wear it with high heels.

We went to a big farm outside of Paris, near Versailles. It was neat since there were lots of vegetables and fruits to pick, including corn, hot peppers, broccoli, rasperries, strawberries, green beans and many more. The girls chose their pumpkin for Halloween.

Heather and Cade met us at the farm and we picked our own salads.

We had friends over and they brought a big bottle of Chianti wine from Tuscany. We drank the whole bottle. It was the best Chianti wine!!
