We went to Strasbourg for a long weekend with our friends. We really enjoyed this city as it reminded us of Brugge, Belgium and Charleston. It's a great place to go during Christmas time since there are lots of decorations and markets. We took the train and it was about 2 1/2 hr, not too bad.
Melissa really enjoyed taking the train in first class.
Christmas decorations at the hotel,
Juliette was scared of Pere Noel when we got to the hotel.
Here we are at Strasbourg.
Tarte flambee for lunch. It was tasty. A tarte flambee is a crepe that has pizza ingredients and the crepe is crusty.
Every restaurant/pub had their own decorations.
Inside the cathedral.
The clock.

Christmas Market outside the cathedral.
This is neat, the lights on the street come up different colors.
A view at night time. Very beautiful
Just had to take a picture of the crystals in the wine and martini glasses.
Stopping for more vin chaud-hot wine. Yummy. This stands has the best hot wine.
Eating Alsacian food.
Playing outside of the hotel.
Ken is buying tickets for the boat ride.
Making ourselves comfortable for the boat tour.
St. Paul's Church.
The new amphitheatre.
Enjoying the shopping district in Strasbourg.
Stopping at another Christmas market.
Ken probably ate about 3-4 pretzels throughout this trip. It's really nothing since he drank lots of vin chaud (hot wine) and it's so--- good.
