Rome, Italy October 2006

Both girls dressing up to go to a birthday party!!

Juliette loves Dora and when I ask her if she wants to watch it in French or English, she says, "French."

Melissa is enjoying carrots!!
Both girls getting comfortable at the airport before leaving to go to Milan, Italy.

Waiting at Milan, Italy airport to go to Rome.
Having Italian pastries at a cafe.

The Monument to Victor Emmanuel II--It's Rome, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Fountain of Trevi.

We found a great restaurant for lunch after walking everywhere in Rome. Of course, Ken had to try an Italian pizza and coundn't resist ordering for the next several days.
The Pantheon.

Inside the Pantheon.

St. Angel Castle.

Going to the Vatican.

Inside the Vatican where the Popes are buried.

Having lunch next to the Colloseum.
Han has a tiramisu after every meal (except breakfast).
Ken is savoring every cup of expresso!! It's even smaller than France.
Inside the Colloseum. We've learned that they used linen sheets to cover when it was hot and raining.

After a tour of the Colosseum, we went to see the Palantine. It was worth it!! It took about 5 years to build this wonderful place!!

Even Juliette and Melissa enjoyed the day at the Colosseum.

Ken and Han were at a cafe while the girls slept in the pushchair after a long day at the Colosseum.
This is Ken's last time having pizza as he is ready try different dishes.
Enjoying Han's favorite dessert, tiramisu!!

A view from the top of the Trinita dei Monti steps.
The church on top of the Monumental steps.

The Barcaccia fountain.
Having lunch at the bottom of the Monumental steps. We wanted to try a different wine and it turned out this wine tasted like cognac. Oh well, we like to try different things but would never suggest this to anyone.
Letting Juliette played while Han looks at the art work.

We saw a zoo on the map so we had to go since I don't think there is one in Paris.
Panther
Billy goats with their twisted horns.

Melissa is also enjoying the zoo.
Getting ready to take the metro back to our apartment in Rome since we've been walking all day!!
Great wine and food.

Enjoying ravioli as our last night in Rome.
